Week #29 – Action

I had a successful week. Took lots of action and got a bunch of things done:

  1. Published 15 low-content books and 14 of them went live as well. I now have a total of 30 LC books published.
  2. Finished reading four books.
  3. Worked out four times and meditated daily (I’ve been doing meditations by Joe Dispenza mostly).
  4. Spent time journaling and working through some difficult emotional challegnes that have come up recently. I had a fruitful discussion with my therapist and now feel like I’m in a much better place. I used to not count this sort of effort as being productive but now I know better.

I did all this while also taking plenty of downtime. I’m glad that I’m at a point where I value balance a lot more than just being in go mode. I got salon work done that had been pending for a while. I finished watching Schitt’s Creek which is perhaps the best show I’ve seen to date. I also had a few wonderful 1-1 calls.

Overall, I’m really happy with how the week turned out.

Value for week # 30 – Decisiveness

I chose this value to build on the momentum I’ve created over the last seven days. Despite the fact that I took a lot of action, I found that I sometimes got stuck in the ‘what should I do next’ or ‘how should I do this’ zone. I think there’s value in deliberation but when it goes into the realm of overthinking, it’s more of a hindrance than anything. And I often overthink.

I’d like to have the experience of deciding quickly for a week, whatever it might be about. I don’t think seven days of not deliberating will derail me in any way. I need to say this out loud because this actually is something that worries me – that I might do something stupid if I decide too fast. You can imagine how much overthinking is ingrained in me, haha.

So here’s what I’m going to do – I’m going to give myself 60 seconds to make any and every decision. I can always change things up later if I want to.

I’m off to a good start. I booked a massage for myself in less than a minute today. Normally, this sort of decision would have taken me ages!

Let’s see how this week goes. 🙂
